Community Rights for Social Justice: Growing Roots and Rights

October 14, 2017 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Communities know we have a democracy problem, and are taking action – JOIN THEM.  OHCRN Partners with Sustainable Medina County and Medina County Together to present a workshop to explore why we don’t have the power to establish minimum wage laws, immigrant and LGBT rights, stop injection wells, pipelines, compressor stations, and other issues facing our communities.  We look at how the corporate state overrides local democratic decision-making and forces unjust labor, environmental and discriminating practices into our communities.  We delve into what communities are doing to elevate the rights of communities and nature over the corporate state.
